Hi, I’m Moshiur and I built this site because great photographers deserve to be found.
Most photographers are extraordinary at their craft. They understand light, composition and emotion in ways that take years to master. What almost nobody teaches them in any course, workshop or mentorship program – is how to be found by the right clients.
That gap bothered me.
I watched talented photographers build stunning portfolios that sat invisible on page 4 of Google. I saw wedding photographers lose bookings to competitors with worse work simply because those competitors ranked higher, had more reviews and understood how local SEO worked.
So I built Proud Marketer to close that gap.
Every guide on this site is written to give photographers a concrete, actionable marketing advantage the kind that actually translates into more enquiries, more bookings and higher rates.
What Proud Marketer is and what it isn’t?
Proud Marketer is not a general marketing blog with a few articles tagged “photography.”
Every single piece of content here is built specifically for photographers. The keywords are photography keywords. The examples are photography examples. The strategies are photography strategies.
When I write a guide on local SEO for photographers, it isn’t a 600-word overview padded with stock advice. It’s the most thorough, practical, up-to-date resource a photographer can find on that topic anywhere.
That’s the standard I hold every page on this site to. Go deep or don’t publish. That’s the rule.
What you’ll find here
Proud Marketer covers five areas and only these five because depth beats breadth every time:
Photography SEO — Keyword research, on-page optimisation, local rankings, technical fixes, and everything in between. If it involves getting your photography website found on Google, it lives here.
Local marketing and link building — Citation building, Google Business Profile optimisation, photographer directory listings, and local backlink strategies that actually move rankings.
Photography marketing strategy — Social media, client review systems, content marketing, referral programmes, and the full-funnel strategies that keep a photography calendar full.
AI tools and software reviews — Honest, tested reviews of AI photo editors, culling tools, and workflow software. I test everything before I write about it. If it’s not worth your money, I’ll say so.
Photography business and career — Pricing strategy, contracts, income diversification, and career-building guides for photographers at every stage from first client to full-time studio.
Who this site is built for
Proud Marketer is for you if:
You’re a photographer who wants to rank higher in local Google searches and get enquiries from clients who are ready to book not just browse.
You’re a new photographer who has the skills but hasn’t figured out the marketing side yet. You know your work is good. You just need people to find it.
You’re an established photographer with a solid word-of-mouth base, but you’re tired of relying on referrals alone and want predictable, consistent organic traffic.
You’re a studio owner or photography educator who wants to rank your services, workshops, or training programmes on Google and build a real online audience.
You simply believe that great photography deserves to be seen — and you’re willing to put in the work to make that happen.
This site is not for photographers looking for a quick hack or a magic traffic trick. Everything here requires implementation. The photographers who get results from Proud Marketer are the ones who actually use what they read.
My approach and why it’s different.
There’s no shortage of marketing advice on the internet. Most of it is generic, untested and written by people who have never tried to rank a photography website in a competitive local market.
I do things differently.
Every strategy I publish is grounded in real search data. I look at what photographers are actually searching for, what queries are driving traffic to photography websites and what content formats are earning clicks and links in this specific niche. Then I write guides that match exactly what photographers need not what gets the most pageviews from a general audience.
I also believe in saying what doesn’t work. If a tactic is overrated, I’ll tell you. If a tool isn’t worth the subscription fee, the review will say so. Proud Marketer has no interest in being vague, diplomatic, or promotional. The only metric I care about is whether reading a guide actually helps you grow your photography business.
A word on what this site is becoming
Proud Marketer launched quietly and it’s growing steadily. The site now covers over 46 in-depth topics, reaches photographers across the United States, United Kingdom, India, and beyond, and appears in Google search results for hundreds of photography marketing queries every month.
The goal isn’t to be the biggest photography marketing blog. It’s to be the most useful one. The site that a photographer bookmarks and comes back to because every guide actually moves the needle.
Think of it the way Brian Dean built Backlinko for SEO one deeply researched, definitive resource at a time. That’s the model. That’s the ambition.
Where to start
If you’re new here, these are the four guides most photographers find most immediately useful:
SEO for photographers (the complete 2026 guide). The full overview of how to rank a photography website. Start here if SEO is new to you or if you want a single resource that ties everything together.
High-intent keywords for photographers. The exact search terms your future clients type when they’re ready to book organised by niche, including weddings, headshots, newborns, commercial, and real estate photography.
Photographer directories in the USA. The most complete, up-to-date list of directories where photographers should list their business to build citations, local authority, and backlinks.
Best AI tools for photographers in 2026. An honest, tested breakdown of the AI editors, culling tools, and workflow software that are genuinely saving photographers time and the ones that aren’t worth your money.
Let’s build something worth finding.
Talent gets you in the room. Marketing gets you the booking. You need both and most photographers only have one.
Proud Marketer exists to give you the second one.
Start with the guides. Implement one thing at a time. And if you ever have a question about your specific situation — reach out. I read every message.
